New paintings!

But you only get to see one right now!

Demonicorn, 13" x 12" acryla gouache on antique panel

For a Collectives show in Boston coming up at the LAP gallery, hosted by the ever-cool Fish McGill.

Also, my friend Tofusquirrel was recognized on Little Chimp Society for her National Portfolio Day poster! I had Fish's NPD poster hanging up in my high school locker for two years - I'm sure her piece will inspire tons of aspiring artists looking to make it into art school. Check it out!

Working on a few things

QuagaƄr the Lion Serpent
9" x 9", blue pencil

Hey guys! Just wanted to give you an update on what I've been up to recently :

I've been doing a lot of drawing, sketching, branding, and graphic-making. I'm working with a very good friend of mine on my website (bamcatart.com), so we're in beginning stages on that. I'm so excited to truly have a website!

I'm trying to organize myself better as being a brand. There are a lot of things I'm doing alright with and a lot of things I need to work on. I've been surrounded by so many wonderful professionals lately with positive reinforcement. It's really pushed me to try harder and get the ball rolling on a lot of things.

Things in the works : New paintings, new post cards, a book for sale at conferences/fairs, more gallery shows, my website, merchandise, prints, apparel, and working on creating a vinyl toy!!

I'm excited about so much - can't wait to show you guys!

Busy Busy!!

Getting so many projects underway!

I recently had my work at the Hourglass Tattoo Shop in a group show with Paint Pens in Purses. We're a group of all-female illustrators, and PPIP was premiering their book! I had so much fun making pieces for that show! (Shown above : new piece for show, "The Gogo Fluff Deity," Acryla Gouache on antique panel, 9" x 12")

My VERY talented friend Corey Norman is going to help me build my portfolio website! I've really been needing one! He and his wife are allowing me to compensate them in paintings of cupcakes. :)

I recently switched teams at work, so I've moved from Kids-exclusive products to all across the board now. I'll be focusing on our in-store customization graphics as well as accounts such as Journey's and Nordstrom. I'll also be working very closely with DC Comics for our collaborations, and I had a great time at their offices in L.A. a couple months ago.

Online shop coming soon! Custom toys available around the holidays! Looking forward to great things!

Failure : Dodgeball

My friend and fellow artist Karl Stevens recently documented one of our epic dodgeball games in his weekly comic, "Failure." I'm honored to be immortalized in one of his comics!

You can check out Failure in the Boston Phoenix every week, and the Dodgeball episode is available in this week's issue! Pick one up!

And don't forget to check out Karl's brilliant drawings and paintings at www.karlstevensart.com

Phidias Gold Paper Toy Show

I was recently invited to make a papercraft toy for my friends Wes and Alex's brand : Phidias Gold. The gallery show was also the launch for PG, and for a launch, I have to say that they did a FANTASTIC job. It's really great to see such professionalism from a start-up company. Totally legit. I'm really glad that I could be apart of this.
